  • NEW (Apr. 4) EECS Process for deferred Exams if main Final Exam is missed due to ilness:
  • This is the process for missed written Final exams:

  • Students who miss their exam complete the Department's online form. This form replaces the RO's deferred standing agreement form. The form will be sent to faculty members on Monday for them to post in eclass or distribute as they see best. (HERE IT IS!)
  • Students will be notified by EECS of approval or rejection by April 25 and be given the details of the deferred session when notified.

Notes on process:

  • Those students who defer more than one exam are expected to write one exam on the 29th of April (10am) and the subsequent exam in a future exam period.
  • Those students who miss their original exam and the deferred session on the 29th are expected to petition for extension of deferred standing.
  • Students registered with Alternate Exams are able to book a slot for the 29th as soon as they miss their original exam. The Alt Centre is cooperating with our processes by reserving a large number of slots for the Department on the 29th.
  • NEW (Apr. 7) Addition On the EECS Deferred Process.
The below points outline the deferred exam process this term for course instructors who will be holding traditional/written exams and intend to utilize the Department's pooled deferred session on April 29.

  •  After students miss an exam, they should complete this form
    • The above form replaces a deferred standing agreement (DSA) form for students who attend the April 29 deferred exam.
    • This form will remain open until April 28 at 11:59pm
  • Most students who use the above form will be notified on or before April 25 if they have been approved to write the April 29 deferred exam. Those who complete the form on or after April 25 will receive an automatic decision after completing the form.

Additional notes on our deferred exam process:

  • Students who defer more than one exam are expected to write one exam on the 29th and the subsequent exam in a future exam period.
  • Students who miss their original exam and the deferred session on the 29th are expected to petition for extension of deferred standing with their home faculty.
  • Students registered with Alternate Exams are able to book a slot for the 29th as soon as they miss their original exam. The Alt Centre is cooperating with our processes by reserving a large number of slots for the Department on the 29th.
