Remove the second resistor from the breadboard and insert it back into the breadboard as shown below:

Make sure that one end of each resistor is inserted into column \(25\) and the other end of each resistor is inserted into column \(29\).

We say that the resistors \(R1\) and \(R2\) are connected in parallel. Use the multimeter to measure the total resistance of the two connected resistors as shown below:

When you measure the resistance of the resistor make sure that the leads of the multimeter make firm contact with the leads of the resistor.

11.1 Record the measured resistance

Edit the script lab2.m and complete it so that the measured resistance in ohms of the parallel connected resistors is stored in the variable Rp. Note: the multimeter will probably report a value in kiloohms (\(k\Omega\)) or megaohms (\(M\Omega\)); you must convert the resistance to ohms.
