About the Labtest #1

(this information was sent to the entire class email distribution list, but here it is again)

Dear class,

Due to my on-going illness, the posting of the model solution for A1 was been delayed until Monday.

Since the amount of time before the start of the labtest has become shorter than originally promised, I have decided that, for the sake of fairness, the labtest will be delayed until Thursday, October 7th.

The class on Tuesday, Oct 5th will be a regular lecture.  The scope of the quiz will be up to the assigned reading of Thursday Sept 30, although the lecture may cover that and the next set of readings.

My apologies for this disruption.  -Melanie

About the Labtest

Location:
CSEB1002

(an earlier draft of this information was sent to the entire class email distribution list; here is an updated version)

The labtest will take place in CSEB1002.    I strongly suggest that you are not late, as the labtest is time-limited.

The labtest will take place on Thursday , Oct 7 1-2:30pm.

The topic of the labtest will be making use of the services of the Graphics2D class, in the context of the callback mechanism.  You will be asked to extend and/or modify some aspect of the application that you did for assignment #1.

A model solution for assignment #1 can be found on the course website.

The lab machines will be booted into labtest mode.  This means that you will not have access to your home directory, nor any network services such as Internet access or email.

The test is open book.  You may bring whichever written materials you like into the test, including the textbook, printout of code, etc.

You may not use your laptop or any other electronic device.  If your copy of the textbook is in an electronic version, you will need to find an alternative solution.

What will be made available to you during the labtest:
-the model solution to assignment #1
-the java API

Website updated.

Course materials now re-organized as file sharing. All course announcement will be posted here.
