Song Wang is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, York University since July. 2019. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Dec. 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Lin Tan (now at Purdue University), MS degree from Chinese Academy of Sciences (China) in Jun. 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Ye Yang (now at Stevens Institute of Technology), Prof. Wen Zhang (now at Beijing University of Technology), and Prof. Qing Wang. Before that he got his BE degree in Software Engineering and BHRM degree in Human Resource Management from Sichuan University (China) in Jun. 2011.
He had also worked with various industry companies, either as a research intern at Microsoft Research (2018 summer, worked with Nachi Nagappan and Tom Zimmermann) or as a developer intern at Morgan Stanley Capital International (2014 summer), Yahoo (2012 summer), and Baidu (2011 summer).
He had also co-founded a startup named QualDivine based on his research work on using deep learning techniques to find bugs.
