Academic Honesty

It is important that you look at the computer science department’s guidelines on academic honesty. Solutions you hand in for homework assignments must be your own work. Although you may discuss the general approach to solving a problem with other people, you should never discuss the solution in detail.

Also, you must list on the cover page of your solutions any people with whom you have discussed the problems. The solutions you hand in should be your own work. While writing them, you may look at the course textbook and your own lecture notes but no other outside sources.


Late Policy

Late assignments will be accepted only up to the class period following the due date. This allows me to publish solutions in a timely manner. However, each student is allowed three “free” late days; that is, you may turn in up to three assignments one class period late without penalty. After you use up your three free days, the penalty (50% of your grade for that assignment) will apply. To repeat: With or without late days, no assignment will be accepted more than one class day after the due date.
