What's new?

Welcome to the course!

May 3: The only announcement so far is that there will be no lab in the first week of classes.

May 31: The office hour for today is cancelled. Please send email if you have anything you wish to discuss.

June 1: If you look on prism in the directory /cs/course/1030/Code, you will find a couple of examples of the code written in class. Here, BankAccount2.java covers what we did in the first couple of weeks as it also extends BankAccount1. BankAccount2 is also meant to serve as feedback for those who submitted BankAccount1.java in lab1 and/or BankAccount2.java in lab2. For feedback for lab3 (array stuff), hardcopies will be returned in class.

June 22: On Tuesday, June 29, there will be a makeup test 1. Anyone can write it to improve their test 1 mark. The final test 1 mark will be a weighted avarage of the results of the two tests. The labtest portion will be held during the regular 6:00 - 7:30 lab and the written portion during the regular class time and in the regular classroom. The makeup test will cover approximately the same material as the first test. Doing the weekly programming exercises from the lab will help. As will reading the text.

June 28: The office hour for today is cancelled. Please send email if you have anything you wish to discuss.

July 2: Because we held a makeup first test, the second test has been pushed back one week to July 13/15.

July 19: There will be no lab exercise this week (Tuesday, July 20). However, the lab will be open and the TA will be there to help you with any programming questions you have. The lab next week will consist of exercises using linked lists.

July 25: Information about the final exam can be found here.
