The following psalm was at the end of the 1977-1978 course evaluations prepared by the Computer Science Students Association of the Department of Computer Science, York University, Toronto.

The '10111'B Psalm

The computer is my shepherd; I shall not sleep.
It maketh me to sit down by grey keypunch;
It leadeth me beside the deranged reader.
It shreddeth my card deck;
It leadeth me down the garden path to printer for it's I/O sake.
Yea, though I walk through the piles of output,
I will understand no error: for thou art in octal;
Thy compiler and thy monitor they conspireth against me.
Thou preparest an incorrect listing before me in the presence of mine professor;
Thou annointest my heading with JCL errors; my program abendeth.
Surely tiredness and psychosis shall follow me all the days of my programming,
And I will collapse in the house of the computer - after the due date.
