To get started
- Become familiar with the course forum by following the in the frame on the left
- Look at the section Software to Use and About the Firefox browser in the Resources page by following the link in the frame on the left

- Learn about the internet and the web by following the links The History of the Web, and How does the Internet Work. The first part of How browsers work (up to but not including the heading Parsing)
- Do the exercises at the end of the pages for The History of the Web, and How does the Internet Work
- Get the report 1 specifications from the course forum — not available until classes begin
