Course Assessment and Grading

It is expected that students will attend classes and complete all exercises in Visual Basic: Programming for Literacy.

Beginning in Week 2, selected Lab exercises will be identified for submission.

The Submissions page will update every Thursday to indicate which exercise(s) are to be submitted the following Thursday.

• Late exercises will not be accepted.

On Five (5) occasions, classes will consist (in part) of MicroTests.

• Each test will be examine the material preceding it in the Lecture Schedule.
• Each test is weighted at 10%.
• Only the best four (4) test scores will contribute to the final grade.

All course components are compulsory.
Weights will NOT be transferred to the final exam.

Weights Summary

Labs	10 will be assigned		@2%	20%
Tests	5 will be conducted	BEST 4 will be counted	@10%	40%
Final Exam				40%

The Final Exam will be held during the University examination period. The date of the final exam is not known until the official University examination schedule is published, and in principle it could be the last day.

It is your responsibility to be present at the exam.

No agreement will be given for deferred standing for reasons of travel plans.
