Written tests

• The first and second written test will be held during lecture time. The written third test will be scheduled by the registrar's office.
• The dates of the written tests can be found on the calendar.
• On the day of the written test, remember to bring a photo ID and optionally a (non-electronic) dictionary.
• The written tests are closed-book, but APIs will be provided if necessary.
• The questions will focus on concepts, but you may also be asked to write small snippets of code.
• Some sample questions for each test follow (links are activated roughly two weeks in advance):
  • Sample of written test 1 (Chapter 1-3)
  • Sample of written test 2 (Chapter 4-5)
  • Sample of written test 3 (Chapter 1-8)
• An answer booklet will be provided and you will write everything in it. In particular, you may not bring any blank sheets of paper for scratch work.
