Grading Scheme
The weight distribution of the course components is as follows:
- 10% - Quiz 1
- 10% - Quiz 2
- 10% - Project
- 25% - Midterm test
- 45% - Final exam
Test and Exam Policy
- You are allowed to miss a test/exam only under extraordinary circumstances.
- If the reason is sickness, your doctor must fill in the Attending Physician's Statement form. Only this form, completely and properly filled, will be accepted.
- There are NO make up tests. The weight of a missed test will be transferred to the other test.
- In this course, all tests, the exam and the project are individual work. Plagiarism and cheating are not tolerable.
Useful Suggestions
- When sending me emails, please indicate"CSE 3213" in the subject line (e.g., "CSE 3213 - Lecture notes unreadable"), or they may be deleted by mistake as spam. Include your name and student ID in the email.
- For questions related to course materials, it is best to come to the office hours. Email may not be a good way to explain the materials.
- This course is heavy! Read the lecture notes and the textbook before and again right after each lecture. Do the assignments.
